Here is how the GermAwayUV High Occupancy Wall Mountable Heavy Duty Air Purifier works:  The first component of this system is the powerful yet quiet fan. It is able to provide airflow through the system at 600 cubic feet per minute yet keep its noise under 50 decibels.  The fan draws the air in the room to the system, the first components met are the pre-filters. Although most things that can harm us in the air are microscopic, a dirty or heavily polluted room often has even some macroscopic molecules or dust particles. The pre-filters trap these and take them out of the airflow.  After the pre-filter, the air is taken through to an activated carbon filter. This filter is specially formulated to tackle chemical and organic contaminants in the air, most notably, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). VOCs are gases emitted from liquids and solids, paint products, automotive chemicals, pesticide, dry-cleaned linens, insect repellents, chemical cleanser and disinfectants.
